Are you looking for things to do in tempe with your family? You can choose a family activity like going to Changing Hands bookstore, where you might meet a celebrity or see your favorite author leading a workshop, or take the family for a relaxing stay at Marriott’s Tempe at the Buttes. There are tons of things to do in Tempe.
But if you’re really wanting to kick things up from a family activity to a family adventure, you should consider checking out an escape room.
At Mind Spark, you can enjoy an escape game or two. Each escape room has a different theme for you and up to 11 other participants to enjoy.
You must purchase tickets ahead of time, but it is well worth paying for in advance! Even if you don’t have 12 people in the family, that’s okay. Mind Spark can easily put your family with other players. And if you’re wanting an extra challenge and keep the room to yourself, you need only purchase all the tickets for that room!
Currently, Mind Spark offers 2 escape rooms, with another escape game coming soon! You can choose between a zombie room, in which you must escape before the zombies get you, and the terminal, in which the subway car you’ve boarded has crashed. The third room, coming soon, is Spellbound. In this room, you’re deep in the woods, engaged in the battle between witches and vampires.
Regardless of the room you choose, you’ll be tasked with working together to find clues, solve riddles, and escape before the worst can happen. To add an extra level of difficulty, you must find your escape within only 60 minutes!
And if you thought Google might give you a leg up, or that you’d be able to take a pic of the kind of clues your friends should look for – think again. No mobile devices or cameras are allowed in Mind Spark’s escape rooms!
Due to the nature of the games, you can only complete each room once as an active participant. But each room allows for one observer, so you can enjoy all of your friends’ attempts to solve the rooms’ puzzles.
So if you’re looking for something to do in tempe, look no further than Mind Spark’s many fun escape games. Tickets are non-refundable, but when you sign up for the first time, you do get $10 dollars off their already reasonable prices.
This isn’t the kind of experience you can get from just going to a movie theater or an arcade room. The amazing props, out of this world effects, and superb actors transport you. You will be submerged in the story, and feel that escape is your only option.
Due to the scary nature of the rooms, it’s recommended for teens and older.
Sure, you could just take your family out for dinner and a movie. But if you really want to kick it up a notch, take your family to Mind Spark this weekend!
